Assemblyman’s support of economy cited

The Empire State Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) has endorsed Assemblyman Ray Walter (R,C,I-Amherst) for re-election. A national construction association, ABC is a resource for over 25,000 merit contractors and other construction industry professionals committed to safety, training, employee benefits and community involvement. Their support for Walter is based on his efforts to protect and enhance free enterprise by fostering a better relationship between government, job-creators and working New Yorkers.

“Our members value Assemblyman Ray Walter as a true champion for businesses and their employees,” said Doug Sitler, regional vice president, Associated Builders and Contractors Empire State Chapter. “He takes a reasonable and intelligent approach to breaking down the barriers that hinder our region’s companies and job-growth. Assemblyman Walter understands that local economic prosperity will occur when companies and their employees are allowed to compete.”

“ABC advocates for the kind of common-sense initiatives that will keepNew York’s hardworking men and women employed both now and in the long-term,” said Walter. “New York’s 49,000 pages of job-killing regulations burden the construction industry and every other area of private-sector job growth. I remain committed to ending state government’s overregulation in order to create jobs for ABC’s members and all New Yorkers.”
