Lipsitz Family to Receive Esophageal Cancer Awareness Proclamation

ASSEMBLYMAN WALTER TO PRESENT PROCLAMATION AT AMHERST TOWN HALL

Assemblyman Ray Walter (R,C,I-Amherst) will be presenting the Assembly’s highest honor, the Assembly Proclamation, to the Lipsitz Family in recognition of April 2014 as Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month in the State of New York. Their work to raise awareness about this increasingly deadly form of cancer has been invaluable to the lives of New Yorkers. Esophageal cancer is one of the fastest-growing cancer diagnoses in the United  States, increasing more than 400 percent over the past 20 years, with fewer than one in five patients surviving five years.
