STAKES SET IN FRIENDLY WAGER ON WILLIAMSVILLE NORTH-QUEENSBURY STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Friendly wager between state Assemblymen Walter and Stec.

With the state Class A Football Championship game between Williamsville North and Queensbury fast approaching, Assemblyman Ray Walter (R,C,I-Williamsville) is engaging in a friendly wager with fellow Assemblyman Dan Stec (R,C,I-Queensbury). The terms: some of the best regional dining fare their respective homes have to offer. In the unlikely event of a Williamsville North defeat, Walter will provide Stec with a bucket of Crown Royal BBQ wings from Amherst Pizza and Ale House. However, when Queensbury ultimately loses to the Williamsville North Spartans, Stec will have to produce a meal of “Dirty Dogs” hot dogs from New Way Lunch in Queensbury.

“I’m really looking forward to this Friday’s game at the Carrier Dome for a couple of reasons - seeing our Williamsville North Spartans win their first state championship and seeing what my colleague Assemblyman Dan Stec’s district has to offer,” said Walter. “I am so confident that our Williamsville North Spartans will conquer the Queensbury Spartans that I am prepared to provide Assemblyman Stec with a bucket of wings from the Amherst Pizza and Ale House. I wish Will North good luck this Friday and look forward to coach Mike Mammoliti and his boys bringing the championship home.”
