WALTER CALLED 'FRIEND' OF FARMS

Assemblyman selected for Farm Bureau's Circle of Friends

Assemblyman Ray Walter (R,C,I-Amherst) has been named to the Farm Bureau’s Circle of Friends thanks to his commitment to New York State's agricultural community. Walter noted the important roles that farming plays in the lives of Western New Yorkers.

“While farming is a pillar of our local economy, it is also a part of our historical identity here in Western New York,” said Walter. “The rural way of life has been passed down from generation to generation, and state government must do what is necessary to ensure that it continues to thrive. That means reducing burdensome regulations on family farms and making it easier for New York’s farmers to deliver their world-class products to consumers. No effort to revitalize New York’s economy can be complete without supporting our farming industry.”
