Assemblyman Ray Walter (R,C,I-Amherst) today gained the bipartisan support of local officials including Town of Amherst Supervisor Dr. Barry Weinstein (R), Town of Amherst Deputy Supervisor Guy Marlette (R), Village of Williamsville Mayor Brian Kulpa (D), and Village of Williamsville Deputy Mayor Chris Duquin (R). Walter is running for reelection in the State Assembly in the 146th District, comprised of portions of Erie and Niagara counties.
“I am very proud to have earned the support of my colleagues in local government from both sides of the aisle. To me, public service is about ensuring our community has a strong voice at the State Capitol and delivering solid results – not about partisan politics,” said Walter, who is running for his second full term. “It is has been great partnering with our Town and Village leaders and I appreciate their endorsement acknowledging my efforts on behalf of our community.”
Town of Amherst Supervisor Weinstein stated, “Ray Walter has been strong advocate for our community – from helping to fight the NYS Insurance Fund for the $30 million owed to the Town to securing more than $200,000 in grants to that had been owed to the Town for years, Ray has worked across party lines to deliver tangible results for the residents of the Town of Amherst and the region. His efforts will help make our community greener, safer and more affordable. It is wonderful knowing we have a strong, engaged partner who is committed to doing everything he can to improve the lives of Western New Yorkers.”

Whether he was fighting against Thruway or delivering grants allowing us to plant trees, Ray has been fighting for us all the way.
