WALTER SPEAKS AT LOCAL VOLUNTEER GROUP

Assemblyman Ray Walter speaks with members of the Equality Club of Buffalo.

Assemblyman Ray Walter (R,C,I-Amherst) today was honored as the guest speaker at the monthly meeting for the Equality Club of Buffalo. Established in 1898, the Equality Club of Buffalo is the area’s oldest service club. At Friday’s monthly meeting, Walter had the chance to speak about his experience in Albany, state legislation and various local issues.

“It was an honor to speak at such a well respected landmark institution of our area,” said Walter. “The Equality Club has a great record of community service and to hear about their local efforts was truly uplifting. I hope all the members appreciated the meeting and discussion as much as I did.”

The Equality Club of Buffalo began when a group of businessmen who met regularly for lunch at the YMCA decided to organize and supplements the benefits of lunchtime camaraderie with weekly presentations on educational, political, cultural, or historical topics given by local leaders.
